Churup Trail is a spectacular 21K race which engages all your senses with stunning views, challenging trails and the sound of rushing rivers! Departing from a fun turtle shaped rock and then heading directly into the Huacarán National Park, characteristic of all the Sierra Andina Outdoors races.
It starts with a gentle warm up section before a challenging climb that leads to the beautiful glacier fed lake Churup that is located at 4450 meters above sea level at the foot of the name salke mountain, CHURUP.
The lake is known as “Lake of the seven colors” and when the rays of the sun fall on it they create a natural spectacle of green and turquoise hues that give it the seven colors for which it is known. Then enter a magical forest of queñuals trees that look something from the Lord of the Rings before arriving at Lake Churupita and enjoy a beautiful white sand beach at the foot of the mountain Churup.
And so the descent begins, between islands and rocks, before running along the Cojup ravine following the rivers that will take you to you the final finish line!
