A few kilometers from the Race start (a cute little mountain village of Pariacac) you run straight across the spectacular and immense fields or ‘pampas’ past grazing sheep and cattle, withe impressive views of the mountain Hualcan that will accompany you throughout your run.
At the end of the pampa are huge rocks with cave paintings, wrapped in queñuales trees immense waterfalls
then comes the first of the lakes – lake Rajupaquiñan home to beautiful birds such as the Huashua or Ganzo Andino, birds that are only found between 4000 and 5000 meters above sea level.
After a hard ascent you will finally arrive at the namesake lake of this race, the Lake 513! It receives this name because it feeds on Glacial 513, it is a shocking 100 meters deep, It is mysterious and imposing with turquoise waters at the foot of the Hualcán mountain that will leave you enchanted with its massive glacier and roaring rivers. But this will not end there, so you better leave quickly because you will have more to enjoy!
As you go up along the 513 lagoon you will come across a lonely and beautiful queñual, the highest on the route that must have been there for thousands of years, how many stories could it tell us!
Following the route you will find the small lake that we have called Buena Vibra and beyond, the Cochca lake, charming and turquoise with icy waters.
